Your bedroom is supposed to be your sanctuary. And as such, it may be time to give it a fresh new look in the form of painted walls. But if you want to stay on trend, you’ll need to know what the best bedroom colors of 2020 are. From deep jewel tones to warm neutrals, you’ll have an entire palette to pick from if you’re considering giving your bedroom a beautiful boost. It will make you want to spend the entire day in bed.
Warm Beige
Neutrals are often associated with high traffic areas in the home, like a living room or a dining room. But painting your bedroom walls beige (particularly a warm-toned shade) can give the room a calm coziness that you might not get with other colors. And since it’s a neutral color, you can really dress your bedroom up with fine finishes and other accent pieces for an added pop.
Deep Blue
Darker colors, such as a cobalt blue, for example, might not be the first shade that comes to mind when you’re thinking of painting your bedroom. It’s bright, it’s bold, and it’s totally beautiful. But in order to pull off this shade, you’re going to have to lighten up the space when it comes to bedding, lamp tables, and other accessories. That way, the room won’t feel too dark, and will retain its regal feeling.
Bright White
On the other end of the rainbow of colors that you could choose for your bedroom is a bright white. While white is usually the color of choice for bathrooms and kitchens, using white in your bedroom can create a brightness that other colors can’t achieve. Plus, everything (and we mean everything) goes with white, so you won’t have to worry about any of your existing decor clashing with the walls.
Sage Green
Similar to dark blue, sage green is moving from dining rooms to bedrooms. It has a richness and sophistication that can’t be denied. If you opt to paint your walls with it, make sure to keep other areas of the room light to balance the effect. Or, you can do as some designers do, and paint the ceiling as a show stopping statement.
Peach Or Pink
Pink tones are perfect for a bedroom. While you might associate them with having a feminine flair, they can be dressed up or down and made into a more masculine-looking bedroom. You can use white accent pieces (think picture frames or furniture) or even black to give your space a more modern look.
Picking the right shade of paint for your bedroom has never been easier. These bold colors (which incorporate pretty much all shades on the spectrum) will make your bedroom powerful, dramatic, and beautiful all at the same time.
