Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie

Buy pre-made pie crust.

Pre-heat oven per instructions on box

Bring to room temperature

Put a small bit of flour in pie pan

Roll out and fill pan. Pinch edges.

Put a small bit of flour on top of crust.

Bake per instructions on box for filled pie.

Let crust cool

Preheat oven to 375 degrees

2/3 cup sugar

1/3 cup melted unsalted butter

1 cup corn syrup

2 T bourbon *

¼ t salt

3 large eggs

1 cup pecan halves or broken or pieces

6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips*

Use hand mixer or wire whip to mix all ingredients.

Bake for approximately 45 minutes until center is firm and clean when tested with toothpick or tester. Chocolate chips will show up since they are warm. Be sure rest of pie is firm.
