Ellen Gefen, Trend Maven

By growing the most comprehensive home fashion on-line community, Ms. Gefen will give consumers up-to-the-minute highlights ranging from home improvement to decorating, remodeling and design. Ms. Gefen, a fixture at the International Home Furnishing Market in High Point, North Carolina, is the most trusted source for in-depth coverage on products, styles and design trends.

Ms. Gefen, founder and host of the ground-breaking television show, “Home Fashion Report,” has interviewed numerous high-profile designers and celebrities including Martha Stewart, Oscar de la Renta, Bob Mackie, Candice Olson and Jaclyn Smith. She also maintains close relationships with top manufacturers and retailers all over the world which allow her to continually preview upcoming home trends and fashions months in advance.

Because of Ms Gefen’s ability to predict trends in the home fashions business she has been invited to provide behind the scenes coverage of the Home Furnishings Market for the CBS Morning News, NBC’s Weekend Today, and Canadian Radio.

In recognition of her outstanding leadership and innovation in the home fashions industry, Ms. Gefen has been honored with the coveted WOW Award for Education by WithIt (Women in the Home Industries Today). Triad Business News also honored Ms. Gefen with the Women in Business Award for her outstanding strides in entrepreneurship.

In addition to leading TheHome.com, Ms. Gefen also is the President and CEO of Gefen Productions. Gefen Productions, a media production studio founded in 1980, is a national video production firm that specializes in producing television commercials, interactive CDs and corporate videos for companies both inside and outside the home fashions arena. Gefen Productions has won numerous awards for achievement in the field of video and film.

Ms. Gefen is active within her community and gives her time and support to the Association for Retarded Citizens and United Way.

Mark Caudill

Mark Caudill, co-owner of Gefen Productions, brings over 30 years of video production experience to TheHome.com. He has directed over 1,000 corporate videos and television commercials for clients that include ESPN, Sports Illustrated, CNN, Cisco, Wake Forest University, The Home Depot and RF Micro Devices.

Caudill is the producer of “Home Fashion Report” and works extensively with home fashion and design clients from around the country. Over the course of his career Caudill has been honored with over 20 Telly Awards, two Videographer Awards for Distinction, six Communicator Awards for Distinction and the US Industrial Film Festival Silver Medal.

Caudill stays on the leading edge of video and editing technology: in 2003 he was the first and only videographer in North Carolina to purchase and use the High Definition Sony F900 camera. Caudill’s team currently uses both PC and Mac technologies produce the most cutting edge videos in his field.

Caudill holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Film from the University of Texas at Austin.
